& Action Centre of Ikaria

A Hub for Knowledge Exchange

for Community Empowerment and Social Justice

Honouring local knowledge

We share the belief that the deep understanding people have on their own places, environments, and communities is essential for good science and good public policy.

Connecting local knowledge with specialised expertise

We translate among diverse stakeholders, sectors, and expertises to ensure fair and equitable access to information that affects local livelihoods.

Building climate and cultural resilience

We facilitate participatory action research, tools and trainings, which are meaningful for local communities and crucial for empowering them to build climate and cultural resilience.
