Project Title: Ikarian Commons Documentation Project
Project Description: documentation of the long history of community management of natural resources and customary property regimes, formal and informal institutions of self-governance, tangible and intangible cultural heritage of Ikaria.
Aim of Project: facilitate reseach and action projects that shed light on the tensions regarding natural resource use, especially those arising from processes of economic development and green transition. Facilitate the development of a Community Protocol and contribute to legal struggles for state recognition of the ages-old community property regime in islands of the Northern Aegean.
Outputs: articles for the local press, co-authored academic articles, panel and roundtable discussions in academic conferences. More expected outcomes: educational material and art-projects..
