Project Title: THE TOUCH/Memories of Displacement Project
Project Description: an oral history/art project on refugee memories from the Greek island of Ikaria during World War II (1941-1946). Sub-project of the “Memories of Displacement Project”.
AIm of Project: It aims to bring to the fore oral accounts of a largerly undocumentated period of Greek history and provide open–source educational material.
Other Outputs: conference papers, peer-reviewed articles and other art projects.
Duration of project: 2014- 2016.

Other specifications: THE TOUCH was produced by the DRACoI with the encouragement of ikariamag.gr. It was first presented in àrtεις; fest 2015 | Days of Contemporary Ikarian Creation (arteis.gr), along with a performance by Ilektra Tsakalias and a theatrical play by Konstantinos Vatougios. The film was an official selection of the Los Angeles Greek Film Festival (LAFFF, 2016) and is available with english subtitles. This work is licensed under a CC BY-NC-SA 4.0.
